Church Life
|
At
its essence, the church is not an institution
or a building, but a community of people who are being changed by the
grace of Jesus Christ. In the course of a week, the Bluemont community
gathers in rather informal ways at homes, apartments, restaurants,
cafes, and on the K-State campus. In this environment, spiritual
interaction takes place and friendships are formed. Here are some of
our ongoing gatherings: |

Cell
Church
Each
week, we meet together in what we call “cell
church.” These
gatherings are currently held in a house or apartment. Our focus during
this time is on worshiping Jesus, ministering to one another, and
meeting practical needs in our community and the world.
Most weeks, we enjoy food, spending time together, and worshiping God
with songs led by someone on a guitar or keyboard. We also spend time
discussing and learning from a particular passage of Scripture that we
are studying together as a church.
Older children join the adults during the music time, and then often
head off to a separate part of the house for a fun, action-packed
lesson. Other volunteers help out with infants and pre-school children.
As we continue seeing more people come to know Jesus and become His
disciples, and as more leaders emerge, we anticipate a multiplication
of Bluemont cell churches in the Manhattan community. |
Midwest
Worship
Our
campus ministry on the K-State campus, Midwest Student Ministries,
meets each Wednesday night at 7pm at the Union Station on the 2nd floor
of the KSU Union. These gatherings usually involve a time of worship,
learning from God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship. |

Nation
to Nation (N2N)
We love
international
students… and think God does, too! On every other Friday
night,
we host a Bible study especially for international students who are
curious about Jesus. Students from all over the world gather at CJ and
Emilia Solomon’s apartment at 1960 Hunting Ave. #12. Check
the
events page for more information about this semester’s
schedule. |
Life
Transformation Groups
The most
basic unit of Bluemont Church is Life Transformation
Groups. These are groups of 2-3 people who gather weekly to
build their friendship, encourage one another in their faith, and pray
for others. Much of the spiritual growth at Bluemont takes
place in the context of Life Transformation Groups. For more
information about a Life Transformation Group, just send us an e-mail. |
